About
Me...
I graduated from
Eastern Washington University and obtained my Masters from the
University of Washington-Tacoma. Go Dawgs! On-going education
has most recently included an AP Institute, AVID Workshop, and
Springboard Training.
I have been teaching for 21 years, all of which have
been for Tacoma Public Schools. I taught 4th and 5th grades
up until five years ago when I made the move to middle
school. I am (still) so thrilled with my transition and
most especially Truman! ---Go Titans!---
My husband Stew is a diesel mechanic, repairing the
Strykers, helicopters, etc. on JBLM. We have been
married for 26 years and have two "kids"
--Leah is 21 and finishing up her AA degree; Aaron is 18
and completing his high school senior year in the
Running Start program.
The animals in our lives include
a three year-old, energetic, Yellow Lab named Daisy Mae and
two cats: Penny and Franklin. (As of
December 2012, we have added Thor, an 8-week old yellow lab.
Phew-- Quite a busy group! -Love it!)
I enjoy... in no specific order... dogs,
chocolate, java, reading The Tacoma News Tribune daily,
various magazines, and novels; "Pinning" on
Pinterest, garage-sale-ing, visiting my college
buddy in Spokane, baking and cooking, hanging out with my husband
and kids, a great movie with popcorn and soda... Hmm?! I
think I'll stop there for now! : )
